Buds that Blossom is a day nursery and preschool that has been founded on over 20 years’ experience in caring for babies and children within Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
We offer the highest quality, professional childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years old.
Buds that Blossom are a local independent nursery whose director is from a nursery background starting a career in childcare over 20 years ago as an apprentice and worked at all levels.
We are passionate about quality childcare and know the importance of an exceptional team that is valued.
Our trained and friendly staff ensures that the children are at the heart of our care and their needs are our priority.
We are all about having fun, nurturing and creativity within a safe and educational environment and making sure each child is ready for the important next steps into school with a wealth of positive childhood experiences.
Buds that Blossom understands and appreciates that each family is different and so are their childcare needs so we offer a variety of sessions with no minimum session requirement.
Our priority for all the children in our care is to ensure that we provide them with a caring, safe and stimulating environment from the offset.
We understand that starting nursery can be a difficult time so we try and make it a little easier by offering several settlings in sessions for the children to help them adjust to the new environment but we also want to help you as parents/carers to get to know the team and share information about your child with their new key carer at nursery. This will hopefully make you feel more confident and happier when it’s time to start.
As a childcare provider, we are required to deliver an educational curriculum that meets the government standards of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). This ensures that each child understands things like numbers, letters, social skills through the 7 areas of learning ready for school.
Here at Buds that Blossom we want to achieve more than that. We want confident children who understand the importance of care and respect for others, who are inquisitive and want to know how things work, grow and evolve.
We use an online system called Famly so you can see what your child is up to at nursery and how they are developing, it also gives you the opportunity to add to this journey and work in partnership.
We believe that outdoor play is an essential part of every day, as it offers children the freedom, space and time to explore, so they can connect to the natural environment, the elements, seasons and natural world. Where they can plant, grow seeds, discover wildlife and build dens.
Our staff is passionate and excited about working with children and we support our staff with ongoing training to enhance and develop their knowledge and skills and to facilitate their career progression.
All our staff receive training in child protection (safeguarding), first aid, food hygiene and fire safety as part of the induction process and these qualifications are renewed on an ongoing basis.
We also deliver training in-house on our policies and procedures and aspects of children’s learning and development.
We love food and want our children to share this experience. We believe in the importance of a healthy and balanced diet to fuel growth and development.
Our menus are full of tasty and interesting dishes that provide children with a wide range of meals from all around the world, to encourage children to try new things.
Each dish is freshly made, so this means that we know exactly what goes into each meal. This makes it easy to cater for any specific intolerances or allergies. We have a robust system in place to ensure that each child safely receives the correct meal to meet their individual needs.
We have a life skills ambassador who spends time with the children carrying out hands-on cooking lessons, Where the children get to take home their creations to share with the family. Growing and planting so the children have an understanding of where their food comes from by planting, watering, growing and harvesting.
